Created by sirenscrossing, becoming fungi, becoming forest is commissioned by Coventry UK City of Culture 2021 and Coventry Biennial of Contemporary Art 2021, with support from MRC Centre for Medical Mycology at University of Exeter, British Mycological Society, Arboricultural Association, and Coventry Tree Wardens.

becoming fungi, becoming forest was developed collaboratively by artists Carolyn Deby, Katye Coe, Jia-Yu Corti, Lisa Franklin, Jamie McCarthy, Camilla Nelson, and Adele Mary Reed, along with singers Rosie Harris, Debra Salem, Mary Savva, and Tom Simkins.
